The metallic epoxy floor system
A metallic epoxy floor coating creates a look nobody can copy exactly. We blend special mica nano-particles into a clear epoxy resin, and as it cures, the metallic pigment keeps moving through the material. That movement is what creates the pearlescent shimmer and flowing pattern you see in every finished floor.
It is not paint and it is not a stain. It is a floor system built to handle forklifts, foot traffic, and daily wear while still looking like something out of a design magazine.
Six steps to a floor that holds up
Every metallic floor is a multi-layer system built on real surface prep, not shortcuts. Here is the process we follow on every job, large or small.
Shotblast or diamond grind
We open up the concrete profile so the coating has something real to grip onto.
Crack and joint repair
Where needed, we fill and level so the finished floor reads as one clean surface.
Primer coat
A bonding layer that locks the system to the slab beneath it.
Background color coat
A 100% solid epoxy base color, suggested for most metallic finishes.
Metallic epoxy application
The mica-infused coating goes down here, this is where the movement and shine come from.
Protective topcoat
A water-based or solvent-based urethane seals and protects the finish for years of use.

A properly installed metallic epoxy floor system typically lasts 15 to 20 years or more in commercial and industrial settings, depending on traffic levels and the protective topcoat used. Regular cleaning and periodic recoating of the topcoat extends that lifespan even further.
On its own, a high-gloss metallic epoxy floor can be slick when wet, so we can add a slip-resistant additive to the topcoat for kitchens, entryways, and other areas where traction matters, without changing the look of the floor.
